Last week was sooo wonderful…..and a little tiring:).  The week began with the 4th of July.  The sea of blue shirts at the parade was very impressive.  About 800 people were made aware of VBS, Upward Basketball, and 1st Christian.  We did see some benefits of our efforts this past week.  The fellowship at the cookout was uplifting and ‘full-filling’.  We ended the day with about 50 people watching fireworks together.

Then, onto VBS!  Our families learned about the Bible from beginning to end…an overview of course:).   We ended the week with a lot of fun.  After the lesson and centers on Saturday, we had games such as the 3 legged race, potatoe sack races, hoola hoop relay, face paintings, cotton candy and a slip-n-slide.  What a FUN day!  Thanks to everyone who made last week possible.
